Sinus Lifting

Sinus lifting procedure is used to increase the amount of bone under the maxillary sinus membrane for future implant placement. Increase of the bone can be done through a vertical approach where there is need for slight increase in the amount of bone. Lateral window sinus lifting procedure is used where we have less than seven millimeters of bone in posterior maxilla and need a greater amount of bone formation. Different types of bone graft materials have been successfully used to enhance bone formation in sinus lifting procedures.
