Frenectomy

Frenectomy is a procedure performed to remove the muscle pull in between the teeth that separate the teeth from each other. This procedure is usually performed during or after orthodontic treatment to close the space (diastema) between the teeth. The frenectomy is sometimes performed in conjunction with a free soft tissue graft procedure.
