Lip Repositioning

Gummy smile is a major concern to some patients. Lip repositioning is a periodontal plastic surgery procedure that prevents the upper lip to move too much resulting in reduction of excessive gingival display. During this procedure, a band of mucosa is removed and the lip is stitched to a lower position from inside the mouth. In order to go over the limitations and benefits of this procedure please contact our office for a consultation appointment. The picture shows an extreme case of excessive gingival display which was treated with crown lengthening and lip repositioning procedures.
